Prince Charitable Foundation Organization

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the unfortunate loss of many lives around the world, and affected the jobs, income and livelihoods of many more. Recognizing that the local residents of Prey Nob district, covering around 500 families, have not been spared from economic hardships, Prince Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of Prince Holding Group, has organized this special event to distribute care packages to you this morning. I hope that the care packages will alleviate part of your difficulties and help in some way towards addressing essential needs during this challenging time. Each care package contains 25 kilograms of rice, a mat, blanket, two pillows, a mosquito net and a krama.

We would like to assure everyone here that this exercise will be the first of many more efforts under the Prince Charitable Foundation to support the local community. As we believe that local residents are key stakeholders of our coastal development project by Canopy Sands, a unit of Prince Group, we strongly believe it is our duty to provide assistance to affected residents during challenging times. Many of you will play an important role in the near future as part of our Canopy Sands team to help develop the Ream City project. In fact, currently, we have already provided jobs for 70 local residents. In time, we will share the necessary skills and knowledge through upskilling and training as we employ more local residents for our Ream City project.

Prince Group and Canopy Sands are confident that we can establish a long term productive relationship with you through constructive dialogue and an empowerment of the local community. This approach is at the core of Prince Group’s vision to participate in Cambodia’s long-term progress.
